Project Overview

Sense Glove is a haptic and force feedback glove that makes the user feel like he/she is interacting with real objects when immersed in a virtual environment.

Force feedback modules manipulate the finger movements into positions that mimicked the sensations of holding objects in the VR world

Vision

The objective of this project was to modify the SenseGlove DK 1.2 and 1.3 into a marketable consumer product that is easy to don, use, doff repair and maintain. The SenseGlove Pro was to be designed in such a way that it is not only user-friendly and easy to wear for the user but also cheaper to manufacture, assemble, integrate electronics, and repair through the modularity of devices. These design considerations would pave the way for the development of many future generations of SenseGlove.

The hub is the core of the device. Complex curves and surfaces were used to develop the smooth and user-friendly Sense Glove Pro to make it aesthetically appealing.

LoFelt Vibration Thumper technology is attached to the bottom of the hub to translate vibrations to the top of the user's hands for a more immersive haptic experience.
