The laser cutter is every maker's best friend. The idea of changing the stiffness of a sheet of plywood to mimic a piece of fabric with laser-cut flex hinges is astounding. I wanted to make something beautiful, luxurious, and highly functional with the implementation of these flex hinges, hence the birth of my own line of wooden handbags, "TimberBags".
